Human video is not a robot training kit.

Use video to understand the task. Standard π0/openpi fine-tuning needs compatible robot observations and action demonstrations, data preparation, compute and evaluation. LeRobot helps with these workflows; simulation-to-real transfer still needs validation.

A low advertised price may be the wrong robot.

Confirm the exact Unitree model, SDK access, control interfaces and permitted use in writing. Hugging Face’s $399 announcement described Reachy Mini Lite, a desktop robot, not a biped. That announcement price is not a current quote. Choose a robot for reach, payload and task compatibility.

Supplier quality has no price-rank shortcut.

Compare materials, tolerances, process capability and samples. The third-cheapest supplier has no special advantage. A $50 sample is not universal, and 1688 domestic listings are not equivalent to delivered export quotes.

Margin includes the messy parts.

Include assembly, shipping, fees, defects, returns and support. Reviews suggest demand; they do not prove your economics. “5× COGS” is a hypothesis to test against customer value and your full cost to deliver.
